La Liga Goal Summary: Sevilla (2 – 6) Real Madrid, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cristiano-Ronaldo-c9629 shines, scoring 4 goals – Part 2
In the second-half, the first goal of the game was scored by Sevilla. In the 61st minute, after receiving the ball on the edge of Madrid’s penalty area, Negredo went on to unleash an unstoppable drive that had Casillas well beaten, as it nestled
past the post and into the goal.
However, Madrid was still leading the game by three goals to one and it looked close to impossible for Sevilla to get back in the game at all by this point.
In the 65th minute, the goal scoring hero for Sevilla turned into a villain, as he displayed some awful defending.
In an attempt to clear the ball, Negredo managed to find none other than Ronaldo with his mistimed clearance and the La Liga top scorer went on to find the back of the net with ease.
Madrid was now leading by four goals to one and seemed to be virtually out of Sevilla’s reach.
In the 69th minute, the Portuguese captain went on to complete his hat-trick. Ozil combined with Ronaldo once again and fed the speedy forward with an incisive through ball.
Ronaldo raced clear from the defenders and found himself in the Sevilla box. He then went on to fool Varas with his effort, striking the ball in one direction but having the keeper go completely the other way.
In the 76th minute, Ronaldo went on to score his fourth goal of the game and Madrid’s sixth. Benzema went on to cross the ball into Sevilla’s penalty area and Ronaldo zipped onto the ball to turn it into a goal.
The last goal of the game was sort of a consolation for Sevilla, as they managed to score their second goal of the night in the 83rd minute of the game.
Negredo managed to race clear of the visiting defenders in their area and was the first to reach a cross inside the penalty area, as he nodded home the ball into the back post. Nonetheless, even the player knew that his goal amounted to nothing in the game.
Soon, the match came to an end and Madrid went on to win the game by six goals to two.
The line-ups for the night were as follows:
Sevilla: Varas, Navarro, Escude, Fazio, Sanchez, Capel, Medel, Zokora, Romaric, Kanoute, Negredo.
Subs: Palop, Dragutinovic, Dabo, Kone, Perotti, Alfaro, Renato.
