Nonetheless, despite all that aggressive play from Madrid, they headed into the tunnel at the half time, with a score of two goals to one, in their favour. However, what was noticeable was the fact that not even one minute of stoppage time was added at the
end of the firs-half.
What could however be said assuredly, was that there were bound to be at least a couple more goal in the game, before the referee blew his final whistle.
As soon as the second half kicked off, Almeria looked to attack the Madrid goal. Just two minutes into the re-start, Almeria almost pulled off an equalizer. After some good passes in the Madrid area, Bernardello went on head the ball towards the Madrid goal.
Unfortunately for the player, his fine effort managed to connect with the outside of the post and stay out of the goal.
Almeria were then made to regret their missed opportunity as on the other end, Madrid went on to score their third goal in the game.
Ronaldo stormed down the middle of the midfield before being taken out. However, instead of taking a free kick, Madrid played on and Benzema weaved his way past the visiting defenders and then went on to thump a shot into the back of the Almeria goal.
In the 50th minute, the first booking of the game was handed out by the referee. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alonso-c5254 went in late on a tackle and despite his pleas, was shown a yellow.
The man of the hour, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ronaldo-c31734 once again tried his luck on the 51st minute mark. The forward went on to take a long range effort at the Almeria goal. Despite the player’s effort having plenty of pace and venom on it, it was always swaying away from the goal
and as a result, it ended up wide of the mark in the end.
