La Liga News: Real Madrid looking to land Edin Dzeko
Jose Mourinho's Real Madrid have gone on to make a rather spectacular start to the La Liga season. This is of course if you exclude the fact that the team was schooled by Barcelona in the first El-Clasico of the season.
Apart from that one game, Madrid have been doing rather brilliantly and are looking to over throw Barcelona as the leaders of the La Liga in the coming weeks. The team's striker Gonzalo Higuain has managed to pick up a number of injuries and as a result
Mourihno has started to grow concerned about the attacking options at the club and is looking to bring in a striker or two in the January transfer window.
The manager has already gone ahead and short listed Edin Dzeko as his prime target according to a number or reports.
The 24-year-old player has in recent months gone on to become one of the most coveted strikers in Europe, with countess team's looking to land him.
The player was signed by Wolfsburg for a mere four million Euros way back in 2006, but he went on to establish himself as one of the best players to ever play for the team and is currently the captain of the German outfit. In fact that player has become
such a sensation, that his market price has spiked to be somewhere around sixty million Euros at the moment, with Wolfsburg, looking to get more than that if they do have to let the player leave.
The towering forward has so far scored an astounding sixty five goals, in a hundred and nine appearances for the German team and with the fact that he is still only 24-years-old, it is safe to say there is a lot more to come from him in the future.
However with the likes of Madrid now hot on the players trail, it might become close to impossible for Wolfsburg to hold on to their prized asset. Dzeko could be on his way to Spain, but the player is more than likely to make the move in the summers rather
than in the winters. Nonetheless it is a wait till January to see if Mourinho makes an official move for the player or not.
