La Liga News: Real Zaragoza vs Hercules; 0 – 0 Full time Report Analysis (Part 2)
In the 9th minute Matteo Contini decided to live on the edge and made some dangerous plays. Abel Aguilar of Hercules ultimately won a free kick which was saved as, Nicolàs Bertolo’s header from the left side of the inner
yard box was saved when it neared to the top right corner. The attempt was assisted by Lafita.
After the 10 minute mark another save was made as Florent Sinama-Pongolle, struck from his right foot from outside the box into the top left corner. Two minutes later Zaragoza made another attempt with Lafita crossing and Jirí
Jarosik, heading from the centre of the box to bottom left corner.
In the same minute Ivan Obradovic was shown a yellow card for hand ball. From here onwards it seemed that the players had remembered that they could dive and get fouls on physical contacts, as till the 25th minute the
play stopped frequently because of men falling down.
Lafita seemed to be in pretty good form as a cross from a corner was assisted beautifully with Jirí Jarosik heading and missing again. This was followed by more fouls and a boring midfield game however there was something to watch
again in the 33rd minute.
Florent Sinama-Pongolle, produced a right footed shot from the right side of the box from close range, but missed on the left because of a set piece situation.
At least in 35th minute Hercules were on the attack again as Tote crossed the ball. Abel Aguilar made a right footed shot from the centre of the box which was saved right in the middle of the frame.
After that play resumed in the same lack lustrous manner and the half ended with a corner conceded by Abraham with the score remaining at 0-0.
The second half started with a foul by Lafita in the 46th minute. That was followed by a 47th minute yellow card as Abraham Paz, was charged justly because of a bad foul. Seconds later it seemed that Gabi
wanted his team to stay behind as he started his dangerous plays again.
In the 49th minute another attempt was missed as Jirí Jarosik, headed again this time from the left side of the box but it was just inches high. The corner cross as usual was provided by Lafita.
The 51st minute saw Real Zaragoza with another chance to score as Gabi utilized a pass from Ander Herrera; however his right footed shot from outside the box was high and wide to fit inside the woodwork.
In the 54th minute there was good defending by Hercules as a goal attempt was blocked. Gabi was the person on the offence along with other men but in the end the Real Zaragoza man proved to be too selfish.
The 57th minute witnessed a good offensive attempt by Hercules from Abel Aguilar. His right footed shot from outside the box was saved before it landed on the top centre of the goal.
5 minutes later Zaragoza had woken back up; Jirí Jarosik struck the wood work from an assist by Kevin Lacruz. The dejected team went back to the midfield after coming so close at scoring the opener.
A fast break was formed by Real Zaragoza in the 65th minute as Florent Sinama-Pongolle headed the ball from the centre of the box but was just away from the left. The marvelous assist was by Carlos Diogo.
