La Liga Update: Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero reveals his desire to leave club
Atletico Madrid forward and Argentine striking sensation, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sergio-c33030 Aguero has gone on to reveal that he wishes to part ways with Atletico in the summers.
The twenty two year old went on to make his feelings known on his Twitter account and blatantly stated that he had no wish to play amongst, the team who won the first ever Europa League.
The player is quoted to have said:"I have expressed to Atleti my desire to leave”
“I've asked to receive, unconditionally, the offers that come from other clubs."
This news is kind of shocking, considering the fact that it came to surface only hours after the striker was reported to be in a meeting with his agents at the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vicente-c36001 Calderon. It was believed that the topic of the meeting was to discuss the player’s wages and how long his contract would be extended for, but from the looks of things, the conversation seemed to take a completely different route.
Aguero then went on to post a statement on the Atletico Madrid website, in order to defend his decision and the player’s statement is quoted to have said: “I am about to turn 23 and I have everything before me”
“It is sufficient to say that it is not an economic reason to leave, but strictly a http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sporting-89-c40576 one.”
“I also want to say that this decision has been in progress for some time”
“The issue was even discussed and agreed with Atleti last year when I renewed my contract. I wanted to sign and renew my contract as a way to give back to the club what they have given me.”
Aguero’s departure, if anything has been a long time coming. The player has been linked with a move away from the club for the last year now and it seems like the time for him to leave is finally here.
At the moment, there are two clear favourites that are emerging on to the scene to land the player. Those two clubs happen to be Chelsea and Manchester City. Both, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 and City have been linked with a move for the player for quite some time and both the teams have ample funds to secure his services. It now seems like it’s going to be the player’s choice to choose what club he’s going to play for.
Nonetheless, what can be said with certainty is that there is no way that Atletico are now going to be able to convince the Argentine to stick around the club for any longer.
