La Liga player ratings: http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Getafe-CF-c39419 2 – 3 Real Madrid (Part 2)
Real Madrid
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Iker-Casillas-c16815 – 6
The usually unflappable Saint Iker was not his dominating self on the night. For a goalkeeper, conceding on the near post is a fundamental mistake and Casillas managed just that on Parejo’s goal.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Álvaro-Arbeloa-c5282 – 5
The Spaniard had a night to forget as Getafe constantly raided his flank. Worst still, Arbeloa was given his marching orders after accumulating two yellow cards.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sergio-Ramos-c33096 – 5.5
Ramos was deployed in the heart of the defence but failed to show his true potential. In a performance marred with poor decision making, Ramos' lack of discipline was evident. To his credit however, Real Madrid vice captain was often seen covering up for
Marcelo.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Raul-c30652 Albiol – 6
Albiol was given a rare start in absence of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Miku-c25758 extremely well and always looked to build from the back.
Marcelo – 5.5
While Marcelo was his usual marauding self in attack, he often left his fellow defenders exposed at the back. Jose Mourinho had said that he had fallen in love with the defender early in the season. The special one has been made to eat his words in recent
weeks.
Lassana Diarra – 5
The French midfielder has been under-utilised following Sami Khedira’s arrival and Mourinho gave him a rare start last night. Needless to say, Lass failed to make most of the opportunity. Diarra’s passing was poor to say the least as he failed to provide
adequate defensive cover to his teammates.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Xabi-Alonso-c37045 – 5.5
A rare poor outing from Real Madrid’s Mr. Consistency, perhaps he missed the presence of Khedira alongside him. The Spaniard was sloppy in possession and failed to find his teammates even with simplest of passes.
Angel Di Maria – 8
The young Argentine continues to impress despite his tender age. Last night, Di Maria was instrumental in all Madrid goals. The only minor blemish in a prodigious display was the fact that Di Maria took to the ground rather too easily for the first half
penalty.
Mesut Ozil – 6.5
The usually imperious German had an inconsistent outing against Getafe. While he scored the second Los Merengues goal of the night, he was on the peripheries on action for a large part of the game.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cristiano-Ronaldo-c9629 – 7.5
The Portuguese continues to rack goals in a simply stunning manner. CR7 added two more goals to his already jaw-dropping goals tally and now sits atop the Pichichi charts. Furthermore, the Real Madrid talisman will only get better with Kaka returning to
first team action.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Karim-Benzema-c20350 – 5.5
Benzema’s season so far has been painfully inconsistent. Last night, the Frenchman was anonymous for much of the game. Even though Benzema hit the post in the second half, Mourinho would be begging Florentino Perez for January reinforcements.
Substitutes:
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sami-Khedira-c32325 – 6
While Khedira was not his usual dominating self upon his introduction, he was still an improvement over a hapless Lassana Diarra.
Kaka – 6
The sensational Brazilian finally made his long anticipated return to first team football. While there was nothing spectacular about his cameo appearance, Kaka will be delighted to have received some much needed game minutes.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ezequiel-Garay-c13071 – 5.5
Garay was introduced in the dying stages of the game and did his defensive job without much fuss.
