  1. It's a lovely place with happenings on the sea-front during the summer. Also, you can rent bicycles, it's "bike-friendly".

  2. I love it. It has a lot of history, it's very active, a lot of street and night life. In the summer, even though it's crowded I love to walk along the harbor, where there are a lot of restaurants and shops.

There is also a lot to do in the region such as going to the beach, visiting quaint island île de Ré (& île d'Oléron further south), rowing on the marshes of "le marais poitevin".

  3. OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

I FROM NEW ROCHELLE! LONG LIVE THE HUGUENUTS!

  4. I liked it very much, beautiful town.

  5. La Rochelle is an trumendous town, you'll enjoy it.....

  6. I have and it's lovely.  Although Ile de Re, the island next to it which you can get to by a really long bridge is nicer, small and cozy, nice beaches, camps, b&bs. Definitely nicest between spring and autumn. There a quite a few little towns there with many small restaurants, great seafood, wine and cheeses. What else do you need in France :)
