La Sylphe all set to win 32Red.com Nursery
The way La Sylphe won the 32Red Casino Nursery on October 4 was really amazing. She comfortably beat Confidential Creek by 2 ½ lengths. Following that convincing victory, the David Barron trained bay filly spent about two weeks in school to build up on her
momentum further.
Thus, the two-year-old novice runner seems to be fully prepared to participate in the 32Red.com Nursery that is set to go down at Wolverhampton racecourse on Friday, October 19.
The fervent filly will have to compete against a dozen of strong rivals over the standard track of 5 furlongs and 20 yards. The prize money reserved for the winner is £4,205.
La Sylphe’s career chart shows multiple podium finishes. She has a couple of classy triumphs to her name.
The best thing about the talented filly is that she has always performed well over standard surfaces, thus, it will be quite an easy deal for her to run and win today.
The daughter of Refuse To Bend out of Naayla is likely to run with the favourite tag. This will boost up her confidence further.
Debuting in April 2012, La Sylphe broke her maiden with the ace title of Bet toteplacepot At totepool.com Nursery on July 10. She outplayed Lincolnrose by 2 ¼ lengths to win the Class 6 race that took place at Southwell.
The Denis Barry bred runner went on to finish as the runner-up in the Constant Security Services Nursery at Ripon. She stood third in Suzanne Gill Millinery Nursery, held at Catterick.
After getting one more runner-up position, the maverick sprinter marvellously registered her second career win on October 4. Hopefully, she will be able to earn the third one today.
However, Secret Sign has enough potential to give a tough time to the filly. The Brian Meehan trained chestnut gelding too has two triumphs on his portfolio.
First, he won Betfred Home of The Big Winners Maiden Stakes (Div II) at Windsor on June 30 and then, lifted the title of Western Daily Press Nursery at Chepstow on September 13.
In this situation, a rip-roaring clash is expected between these two runners. Let us see how La Sylphe manages to defend herself.
