Lab top feel off my couch a moment ago and now it keeps shutting off when I turn it on. What should I do?

i really hope it didn't sustain some sort of internal damage. I can't afford another one. :(

Check on the bottom of the laptop, and see if the hard drive got jarred loose, also check to see if there is ram that you can replug in, Make sure there is not a CD in the drive. Try booting in safemode, (useually F8 when the computer is booting). other then that find a small s***w driver that you can take the thing apart and see if any wires came loose.(there is a processor that has goo on it under some kind of heatsinc that you want to try not to remove, If you do have to remove it to check inside, before you put it back on try with a clean flathead screwdriver to put as much of the goo back on the processor before you put it back together KEEP IT CLEAN DONT LET DUST SETTLE ON THE GOO or you may get over heating problems.. Other then that a computer repair shop could be cheaper then a new laptop..
