The Swabians' team trainer expressed his disappointment after his side lost 4-2 to Bundesliga rivals Hannover over the weekend
Stuttgart head coach http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Bruno-c8098 Labbadia stated that Sunday’s 4-2 home defeat from Hannover was hard to digest. He said he is furious by his players’ performance and that this result is unacceptable.
The Mercedes-Benz Arena side were winning 2-0 until the half-time and were expected to finish-off the game, but the visitors made a comeback and stole all three points from the league clash. This will be a big blow for Stuttgart
as they were in fine form claiming 11 points in the last five matches.
The manager claimed that the defeat has shocked them. He further added that they played well at the start, and did not allow the visitors any goalscoring chance except one. He said they even dominated after the interval, but lost
control of the match and let Hannover take advantage of their sloppy play.
"It's a brutal defeat for us and a hard one to take. We played sensationally in the first half and didn't give them a chance, apart from one mistake,” he added.
"We even looked good at the start of the second half, but we lost possession too easily and this played into Hannover's hands,” he mused.
The tactician suggested that he believes if Die Schwaben play to their full potential, they can beat any team, but even a slight bad day can hurt them really bad. He was very angry over the loss.
"We saw how if we give 100 per cent, then we can play some really great football, but if we drop 15 per cent, then we have problems. We have to give ourselves a slap around the face and we are extremely disappointed," he stated.
On the other hand, Hannover trainer Mirko Slomka was ecstatic after the victory. He added that the team talk in the break helped them come back in the clash. Slomka conceded that he believed a single attack could change the course
of the tie, and that is exactly what happened. He said that he changed the strategy a bit and it worked.
