Question:

Labor experience after cryotherapy??

I'm 35 weeks pregnant and just now learned from my midwife that a cryotherapy procedure done a couple years ago may cause dilation of my cervix to be slower than usual due to the scar tissue. I'm curious to hear from moms who may have had this procedure done, and whether it affected your delivery experience. Hopefully someone out there might have dealt with this. Thanks for any info you can share!!

  1. I had cryotherapy done in 2002 and gave birth to my son 12-15-07. Here's a short summary of my labor/delivery.

I was due Dec. 11. On Dec. 12 they stripped my membranes, that night I began having contractions. They would be regular for a while but then become irregular. On Dec 13 after laboring all night I went to the doc. I was less than 2 cm dilated so they sent me home. My water broke at 2pm on Dec 14. I gave birth to my son 12 hours later. My son was large and healthy. Good luck!! Hope this is helpful. Oh, he was my first baby!!!
