Labor question maybe TMI please answer...?

Question

Ok i had my appointment on Thursday and the doctor told me i am 2cm and 75% effaced and the baby is way down. She said if i dont go into labor by next thursday they are going to a membrane sweep and if that doesn't help by monday i am going to get induced on the 9th. So my question is the past few days i have been having really bad like menstrual cramp pains (nothing i can time they just hurt) and i have this feeling like have to go the bathroom #2(TMI sorry) and half the time i go in there i don't really have to go and if i do its a lot on its loose (tmi again sorry) i have also been having some light spotting i think im losing my plug... so anyone been through this and if so how long until you actually went into active labor. I really i hope i go on my own because i dont really want to be induced.

the day i got told i was being induced was the day my daughter was due, i got of the bus on way back and had cramps, just like really bad period cramps.....felt like i was coming on.....they lasted about 6 hours then i got pains....it was like they scared my daughter into makin an appearance! I was in labour 2 days, dont worry, some ppl are quicker lol, i was losing my plug when i was 3cm, it came out in bits over the hours....even in the height of labour i was still losing it (they had to break my waters coz they never went lol), Sounds like your def on your way and hopefully your little baby will be here soon! I know its hard but try and relax, i didnt and i was awake for 4 days in a row...when ya in labour as ya can imagine ya cant sleep lol, good luck and wishing you and your baby a safe journey take care x

keep a close eye on yourself..i had back labor..well not actually contractions just pain...had to go to the bathroom #2 (same symptoms as you), but then felt as tho i had to go not too long after that just wanted to push...then my water broke and 24 minutes later my daughter was born (cut it close cause i got to the hospital like 2 min before she was born)..

just keep close to a phone and have someone on stand by...

I would say that it is really hard to tell. I am 40 weeks preg and was due on this past monday. I have been having contraction and they hurt like h**l. I've never felt that kind of pain before in my life. Anyway I went to the hospital and nothing. I was in false labor. I am being induced on Wed (after the holidays) My ob told me to keep walking but not to have s*x anymore. I am a finger tip dilated and the baby is head down. Just does not want to come out. If this is your first it may talk awhile according to my ob. Just relax. Good luck to you. :) and congratss
