  1. Hi This means.....The baby is head down and your 3/5 or 4/5 engaged and you are measuring at 36 weeks, which is great. They will let you have 3 cm each way before they are concerned but you are bang on date. Don't know about labour starting, im still waiting for it to happen lol!!

    Good Luck

  2. I am going to assume that this is your first pregnancy which means that the process could take a little longer. I just gave birth to my son three weeks ago and I was two to three centimetres dilated with some contractions for nearly three weeks before being induced. The Braxton Hicks contractions are a good sign that your uterus is preparing itself, and if they start becoming painful, you will know that labour is fast approaching. I know that it is a difficult waiting game but believe me, it goes quickly and getting up every two hours is great practice for what is to come. Good Luck and Congratulations!

  3. Braxton hicks can happen at any time during pregnancy.  Doesn't necessarily mean you will go into labor any time soon.  You could still have another 2-3 weeks if your doc isn't going to induce.  You may not even go into labor because of the steroids.  Just be patient and listen to the doc.
