Labour are bad but are the tories any better?

Do we have to go back to an NHS on edge of collapse, school buildings that are falling down, people working for £2 an hour??

I honestly believe the Labour party are a lot more Tory than people think.

They have certainly shifted more to this side than their working class roots of so long ago.

Its difficult to say what is needed as i don't think you could split hairs between the two these days.

Perhaps a party with a real strong leader would make a difference to things because no party's in England have this at the moment :)

It's absurd to suggest that everthing that Labour does is wrong and that everything that the Tories do is right.What we are dealing with here is basically a bunch of crooks.For the most part they are only puppets at best and it dosn't make one iota of difference who the government are because the average joe is still going to get crapped on whoever is in power.

We've already got all of those.  The people of £2 an hour work for our impoverished NHS but they are supplied by agencies who claim they are "self-employed".  The answer to your question is no.  Our 3 main political parties are all offering us government on the cheap.  Things won't get any better until the Great British public realise that you get what you pay for.

The Conservatives are the ONLY answer to the state of this country right now. Labour will NEVER be able to clean up the mess they have made. At least the Conservatives will give the British people their country & culture back , and restore a sense of pride.

they had a far better economic record than labour will ever have, and New Labour inherited a lot from the Tories that was more than positive for the country. Then they threw it down the bog.

Cameron if he ever gets to be PM will have his work cut out with the current financial debacle that Chancellor Brown has made, as one senior politician said recently what you have to

Cameron is offering nothing, he doesn't have to, Brown is the best Conservative salesman going. At least with Millband or whoever in charge there will be a contest.

The result be it red or blue doesn't look like it will have much effect on the man in the street. The problem is fuel costs and if Labour hasn't the backbone to reign in shareholder profits it would be a bit much expecting the Conservatives to Nationalise utilities.

You can thank the European Union for the minimum wage, Gordon's quite happily privatising schools anyway, but you can expect the Tories to sack a lot of NHS management which I don't disagree with.

all i can say is that the labour government started the EMA system which got me through school. i really don't want a Tory government, because i agree that all the money will go to the rich, however i believe that the next gov' will be a tory administration.

Yes, because it is impossible to be worse. They would inherit economic and moral collapse. After throwing many billions at the NHS, it is still no better, and kills thousands with its own home grown bugs. The education system has been dumbed down by left wing dogma, and churns out ill educated nitwits. I don't agree with a single point that 'Aileen' makes. I often wonder just how bad Labour would have to get to stop their tribal followers from slavishly praying at their alter..

Tories will say a lot of things to get them into power like the rest but if successful will go back to the old tory ways of looking after the middle and higher classes of the country and expect to be much worse off.
