  1. Golden Retrievers ALL the way! Though labradors can be great dogs, I've found that golden retrievers are more cuddly and very gentle. It depends on your perspective and like someone else said, golden retrievers DO shed a lot. But I feel that golden retrievers are amazing dogs... but maybe that's just me:)

  2. A lab mix with a golden retriever! I have a chocolate lab mix with the Golden Retriever. It is the cutest and nicest dog ive ever met! she is soooo adorable! I can't live without her. She is 8 and still awfully energetic and i think that is good with a dog.

  3. I've got both, and I have to say...I think it depends more on if you want to pick up a lot of short hairs, or a lot of long ones :)

I like my golden better (the lab is actually my sister's), because the lab has separation anxiety, and the golden is still a cute puppy

  4. my sister has had both and she much prefers the Golden.  The golden was a lot calmer and easier to train and very dignified even as a puppy.  Her Lab has a ton of energy harder to keep focused and a goofball.

It depends upon what you want and the individual dog

  5. golden!

  6. Golden... Labs are energic and too strong and crazy for my home.  Goldens are just as full of devotion, it just tends to be a little less bonkers than a lab.

  7. golden retriever

  8. I Love my Lab !!!!!!  so I would say go with the Labrador Retriever .

  9. definitley golden. They are extremely cute as puppies and stay cute their entire lives. I have a 10 year old and he still looks the same as he did when he was 1 he just has whiter hairs and is getting lumpy lol. They shed a lot but they kinds bunch up into little hair tumble weeds. I'm not sure about you but I'd rather pick up hair balls than little needle hairs...

  10. if you can play with the dog all the time and pay lots of attention to it go for Labrador but if you need a dog that can keep quiet for some time then get a golden retriever there mostly the same

  11. Ask yourself how you feel about shedding.  Both breeds shed but the Golden will leave tumbleweeds of hair.  And please don't consider shaving them, their hair is there for a reason.  Labs also shed, but shorter hair, shorter shedding.  Also, Labs  are more high strung.  You need plenty of patients and training.  Good Luck...
