Dennis Lachter has labelled both players as strictly unprofessional and has urged Zenit St. Petersburg to sell the greedy players to Anzhi Makhachkala
Zenit St. Petersburg head coach, Luciano Spalletti, has demoted the St. Petersburg club’s captain, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Igor-Denisov-c16694, to the youth team after the Russian player refused to play the Russian Premier League tie against Krylia Sovetov Samara
at Metallurg stadion on Saturday.
The 28-year-old midfielder refused to play the match after publically making a statement that the Russian outfit is not paying them as much as they are paying to the newcomers, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Axel-Witsel-c7029 respectively.
Hulk and Witsel joined the Russian outfit from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/SL-Benfica-c40542 during the summer transfer window after signing a four-year contract at Petrovsky stadium. The St. Petersburg club will reportedly pay the former Primeira Liga
players around five million Euros annually.
The St. Petersburg club, meanwhile, have also sent their in-form striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/U-17-Youth-team-c40787 after the former Dynamo Moscow man actively supported Denisov’s cause after their 2-2 draw against
the Wings of the Soviet.
Dennis Lachter has blasted the Russian players following their misconduct and childish approach and urged the defending league champions to try and sell these players to mega-rich Russian club, Anzhi Makhachkala, in order to earn
good money.
“I have come across cases when players approached the coach and asked why we are not getting as much as other players in the team. But I have never encountered situations in which a player refuses to play for a better salary.”
“Igor renewed his contract less than a year ago, cannot ask for a new contract. The team may terminate his contract but they will do it in January to find his replacement. Zenit should sell them to Anzhi for more money. It’s sad
to know Kerzhakov supported him in the questionable argument.” The Israeli national was quoted as saying.
Lachter revealed that Anzhi, who made remarkable signings ever since Kerimov has joined them back in 2012, can afford hefty player’s wages more than any other Russian club at the moment.
