The Ivorian national tips Kuban Krasnodar to claim a decent Russian Premier League spot and assured the fans of continuing his blistering form.
Kuban Krasnodar striker, Lacina Traore, after attending his first training session with the Russian outfit, has spoken of his delight upon reuniting with his teammates after a lengthy Russian Premier League winter break. Speaking
further, he tipped the Kazaki to claim a decent spot at the end of the ongoing season.
Reports in Russian had earlier suggested that Anzhi Makhachkala have shown interest in Traore, with their new head coach, Yuri Krasnozhan, being a long time admirer who wants to bolster the Dagestani club’s offensive ranks.
However, Traore has quashed the rumours linking him with a move away from the Kuban stadium.
Kuban head coach, Dan Petrescu, signed the promising striker during the last transfer window for a reported 4 million Euros fee from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/CFR-Cluj-c38778.
The Ivorian national had been the subject of interest from English Premier League clubs, Arsenal FC and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 FC, during the last transfer window, before making his move to the Russian outfit.
Traore, dubbed as the new Adebayor, proved himself as one of the best strikers to don a Kuban shirt. His rich form has seen him score 15 goals in 27 league appearances. 
Currently, CSKA Moscow striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Seydou-Doumbia-c33175, is the leading goal scorer in the Russian Premier League.
Aside from Kuban's performances, the 21-year-old has himself had an impressive League campaign so far, helping the Russian outfit to a mid-table spot at the end of the second league round.
“I missed my teammates during the break. We now must prepare for a decent spot. Kuban are having a good league campaign this season and we need to work very hard to continue and surprise other teams.” The Romanian Cup winner was
quoted as saying.
The Ivorian national revealed that a difficult third round lies ahead and reiterated his desire to play in Europe.
With 12 league rounds to play before the end of the domestic championship, Kuban are still five points adrift of the last UEFA Europa League spot.
