Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing lack of appetite in late pregnancy. I eat to stay alive right now, not because I'm hungry.

  1. Sometimes that happens, when the baby gets that big, there isn't a whole lot of room left and you just can't eat!!

  2. i cant say that i ate just to "stay alive" i got hungry , just not as much as i did in the begining and middle. talk to your doctor about it , and make sure your still getting your prenatal care =) best of luck when your new bundle arrives!

  3. I was the same way. In late pregnancy the baby is so big that your uterus is squishing your stomach. Try eating small frequent meals

  4. That's kind of odd. But is it because you feel more nausae's now? Also, if you could add how many weeks you are it would help to get better answers.

  5. I understand what you are going through.  At about week 37 I lost my appetite all together.  I force myself to eat just so my baby gets the nutrients she needs to be healthy.  I also started craving frozen cherry sodas..odd!

  6. I've never heard of that one, but hormones can do some weird things toward the end a long nine month pregnancy. For the sake of the baby inside you, setup a doctor's appointment just to make sure that everything in side you is doing what it should be doing. Good luck and congratulations!

  7. Yeah i did when i was pregnant with my son. I felt so bloated and uncomfortable even though i wasn't that big that i just didn't feel like eating and my appetite just disappeared.

EDIT: i did eat but only small amounts every so often, like a piece of toast or something.

  8. Very normal.  Just keep in mind that you do still HAVE to eat something for the baby.  There was a week in my pregnancy that I just wasnt hungry.

  9. there are days where i jsut dont have an appetite either. its becuase the baby is getting bigger and is pressing up against your stomach and you just dont get hungry anymore.

  10. i feel this all the time now 34 wks the baby is big and pushing everything that makes you feel like you don't want to eat. but you should at least something small or ever  fruit shakes that has vit in them also the heat could be a factor. The thing with me i have diabetes and have to eat cause i take insulin :( so in that i force myself to eat but i eat  some fruit and lots of fiber that keeps me reg and not so full filling. if it buggs ya ask the doc. gl....
