Maarten Stekelenburg’s protracted move to A.S Roma has dealt another hitch as the Dutch club have declined to approve the deal because of lack of bank guarantees provided by the Italian outfit.
The two clubs have agreed on a price for the goalkeeper and the player has undergone medical as well but Ajax are demanding more security over the payments. The Amsterdam based club have a bad experience over recovery of payments
from Italian sides and they are willing to take no risks this time.
