Any ideas what's going on with the tyre problems? I found this in the motogp official web site. So what do you think about the problems with the Michelin tyres? Is it possible because of them many riders to continue loosing race after race?

I got a bit borred because of the lack of motogp questions so I'm starting to ask old stuff.. At least it's something!

  1. Hi, I'm a MotoGP fan and Valentino too.

I like the F1 too, and the Michelin tires are experiencing the same problem they had in F1, lack of adherence, besides the compounds has not the same "lift-time" of its counterparts the Bridgestone.

Michelin supposed to have some advantage in dry track different to the Bridgestone wet track advantage, but, not even in dry track they the Michelin tires behave like old days, and the Bridgestone combined with the Casey's Ducati, are almost invincible.

  2. I dont think that there is really much WRONG with the Mich tyres, its just that the Bridgestones have gone way over there heads with development.

Dont forget, that Michelin had the 500cc and early Motogp championship in there pocket for something like 6 years. They have got to sloppy, thinking they were the best and now getting proved wrong.

I have this to say [ read bet ] there will not be a single bad tyre come out of France for the reast of the year.

The might of Fiat Yamaha & Repsol Honda will have given the French maker the biggest *** wooping of there lives during this summer break!!

Tyres are on a 12 month contract. Next year they could change. Team Grasini is already on Bridgestone, so Honda already have 12 month R&D under there belt.

If you look at QP2, and wet time, Michelin still have great rubber, but they need to pull there finger out.

  3. Hey A.nik,

I have no flamin' idea what is up with the tyre's (or the tyre rules and regs) but i do know it's frustrating as h**l when you feel you aren't getting an accurate picture of what the bikes are really capable of because they cant stay stuck to the circuit long enough to find out!

Like you I am bored of the summer break and can't wait for Brno to start (2 days 13 hours and 17 mins.) but meanwhile we had some good racing in the British Superbikes last weekend.

Will try to think of a question later (that doesn't mention "Vale" and  "Taxing" in the same sentence!)
