SQUEAK!

Magic has a squeaky toy

she leaves outside the bathroom door

In the dark I step on it

scaring myself pottiless

I know she leaves it there on purpose

She laughs at me and slaps her knee

but I don't find it humorous.

  1. Oh yeah, Dogs have a sense of humor.  My 128 lb dog lays on her back and kicks her 4 legs up in the air and grunts and wiggles and does a full 360. I can swear that she is laughing at some bird or squirrel. Only she knows.

  2. haha! i like the pottiless word too

  3. I've learned not to underestimate the intelligence of my big dopey black lab. Hehe, fun poem!

I usually step on toy trains in the middle of the night...my 4 year thinks the best place to set up his tracks is in the middle of the hallway!!

  4. "Scaring myself pottiless,"  loved the word pottiless!!!

Had to laugh, I've done that many times, too...

wonder if they do, in some way, slap their knee?!

    Adorable and fun, thanks!

  7. She should have her poem posted next to her photo on Mars.

She did real good for a dog!

  8. Great poem. Yeah, I am sure she leaves it on purpose just to get a kick. My dog, hmmm...she is a puppy and I will leave it there.

  9. My puppy used to leave things in the dark, but instead of 'squeak' it was more like 'squish'.

  10. Dogs are great comedians.
