Lacrosse/Running Help?

I want to learn lacrosse, does anybody have any exercises? Not the type you do with the stick, just like running and stuff. Also, any tips on how to improve my running? It hurts when I run, and I think that affects my speed. Is there a correct way to run? Thanks!

  1. start off with 20 minute runs. then gradually increase ur runs to 45 mins within a week or 2 so u r used to the feeling of what its like in the game cuz in girls lax you play 20 min halves.  and every few days do some 20 yard sprints and then increase them to 50 yards.
