Well there are a lot of things left open to interpretation in your question, like how you define "better" and "rich".  No one is sure how golf evolved, but it has in modern times been a fairly expensive game.  The biggest expense is building a course to play on, and then there is the equipment etc.  LaCrosse on the other hand was developed by native Americans, is played on any open field and the equipment can be made by hand.  LaCrosse is more about running, strength and endurance, whereas golf is more about concentration and strategy.  Not an easy comparison.

Golf. I have never heard of a business deal being made over a lacrosse game. I specifically started playing golf because that is what all the head honchos at my job do. Besides, lacrosse maybe nice for rich kids, it is not something you can do when you are rich and old. I have seen rich old people playing who can barely get out of their golf cart.

Don't really get your question, but let's compare a few things....#1 ranked golfer Tiger Woods....could probably buy the ENTIRE lacrosse "pro" league....there are golf courses all over the country & world while kids in the rural south probably think "cradling" involves babies....Annika "played" with the boys & nearly made the cut...girls lacrosse players don't even wear pads....(sorry ladies)....keeping all of this in mind, lacrosse is probably played more by the rich, but you'll go broke if you plan to make a career out of it

Cannot say which is the sport for the rich. Most prestigious colleges have lacrosse teams so by association the sport becomes that of the rich. When I caddied, some 70 years ago, golf was the game of the rich and our area was never exposed to lacrosse.. Those who took caddies in post depression times were the money crowd. As for which sport is better, lacrosse will be limited because it involves much running and movement which are attributes of the young;while golf can be played by both sexes, young and old, talented or novice, good or bad so long as the person is pleasant and not a grouch.
