  1. men's lacrosse SHAFTS come in 3 sizes.

Goalie- between 42 and 52 inches

Defense pole- long, between 52 and 72 inches long.

    Attack/Middie- 40-42 inches in length.

Shafts come in a variety of different materials including aluminum, aluminum alloys, wood, titanium, carbon/aramid(synthetic fibers) and graphite.

-Plain Aluminum is super soft and dents easy.. It's great for a youth/entry level player. And is inexpensive

-Aluminum Alloys- Stronger than aluminum but still dents easy, good for mid to upper level players.

-Titanium- very strong, hard to dent, great for an advanced and aggresive player.

Gait by Debeer makes great beginner sticks like this one:

It's inexpensive, and it easy to learn with.

But if you've been playing a while and want a good stick that is more advanced I'd recommend the Warrior Evolution 2.0.

It's more expensive but it's quality.

If you want a shaft that is less expensive, but gets the job done I'd go with the Warrior Alloy 2000:

Lacrosse sticks are overall pretty durable, I wouldn't be too concerned about breaking them, what's the worst that can happen? You have to get a new one.

    Hope this helps!
