Lacrosse vs. hockey? Where can you play lacrosse in Anacortes, Washington or somewhere near it?

I was a hockey player for a year and loved it and got most improved. It was my life, but my dad get a new job it takes me 1hr to get the ice rink. Anyway i didn't play last year and i want to play lacrosse. (I live in Anacortes Washington 98221) How do they compare will i be able to play. I have a 50 dollar stick. What is your input and don't stay hockey=tougher or lacrosse=more fun Where do i play? Just say whatever i like to read about it.

Walax has information on all things lacrosse in Washington state including clubs, camps and high school teams info.  There is a club team at WWU as well as Whatcom High.  There are also summer leagues in the Seattle area and there may be some up in Whatcom county as well.  There is an indoor league that played last year in Arlington but I'm not sure what they do for summer/fall.

I grew up playing practically every sport you can think of but love lacrosse the best.  It is definitely growing here in Washington but there are tons of opportunities for new players.  There is a guy in my summer league who just started playing this year and he is in his 50s so it is never too late to learn.  Hope this all helps.
