Ladies, do you prefere gel or acrylic nails?

try fiberglass, i use these and have alot of clients coming from gels as they r weak, basically from experiance i find that:

acrylic...strong but can look thick and not so natural esp after maintainence

gels....weak, but more natural looking

fibreglass....strong and natural looking!

I like gel nails, and they seem to last longer between fills. Acrylic and gel nails are basically the same thing, they just use a special acrylic powder when they do gel nails on you. But they do come out shinier than regular nails. They do cost more, but not much. You should be able to get a full set of gel nails for under $30 in most salons. I paid $25 the last time I had them.

I totally love acrylic nails! :D I get mine done quite a lot, and they normally last 2-3weeks. Costing about £25.

Ive had gel nails done before but didnt last long at all! They kinda melt when they are near heat....so if you do a lot of cooking i wouldnt recommend them.

All artificial nail systems last around the same time, they all need in fills after 2-3 weeks depending on how fast your nails grow. Gel works better when your hands are in frequent contact with water or chemicals but other than that there is very little difference between them. A lot of places that offer gel only actually offer a gel topcoat......if its liquid and powder its acrylic.

Personally I prefer either natural or silk wraps, more natural looking and acting but I'm currently sporting gels...I only had 45 minutes to do my nails so chose the system i'm quickest at.

acrylics! they last way longer then gel! plus (not meant in a racist way at all!) i love the chinese people who do my nails they are sooo nice! although they probly talk mad sh*t on me in chinese lol.
