Ladies, does it burn you up when you ask a man a simple question and all you get is a "HUH"?

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHH! When you ask your husband/boyfriend/lover a simple question does it tick you off when the FIRST thing out of his mouth is 'HUH'? I think it's built into their DNA by their fathers b/c they can't answer questions either.

Does it make you feel that they are getting ready to lie?

Trying to think of what to say?

WHY DO THEY DO THIS?!

Or, is this one of the great mysteries of life that will never be figured out???!

How do you deal with it?

I'm totally use to it. As you should be too. That's just how men are. Just like how women are too curious and dig for the truth and answers. (I'm like that too!) Men see black and white. It's either this or that. Women on the other hand, see black white gray pink and blue. LOL. We are over bearing in their eyes. So the response "Huh?" is a normal reaction from men, they either honestly didn't hear your question, or they really don't care about what you were asking.

I ask him (or her, doesn't matter, really) would he like this or that.

He says, yes.

I think the real problem here is that in general women (and I am one) ask too many questions over and over so after a time they start to tune us out. (like the boy who cried wolf) More pointedly if we do have a question we REALLY want the answer to then go to him and make sure you are looking at each other. Too many times we holler across the room or out to the yard but we don't make the effort to go to where he is and make sure he KNOWS we are asking a question. Men tend to answer questions when we as women don't play the "mind reading game" Such as... If a man says to you "What's wrong you look upset" and women tend to say "if you don't know I'm not going to tell you" did it ever occur to you that maybe they REALLY DON'T know? But because women play these games and don't have the best communication skills all the time either men tend to do the "HUH" thing you were talking about. When you have a question go to him ... explain your situation.... and he will answer you.

I wouldn't sweat something that small.

Besides it shows that he's barely paying attention so why bother asking his opinion if his answer is going to rub you the wrong way.

About it being in their DNA..no doubt. I think it is a stall tactic. What I find funny is that my hubby does it no matter what we are talking about. Funny or serious the first thing out of his mouth is HUH??? Even my brother does it. If you notice they heard exactly what you asked, so now I don't ask again.  I just look at them and wait.......... Makes them uncomfortable!!!!

Oh to be in a position where that situation was a daily experience. I miss it like h**l. I miss everything to do with women and one woman in particular.

Just think folks. If that situation no longer arose at all because the person asking the questions is no longer there.

Enjoy everything, even things as you describe, they do not last for ever and the absence of that lady leaves a great vacuum in your life.

It does bug  me.  and  mine  says " what ever you want do, (eat),  see.".. what ever situation is  I then say I want you to decide this time..Sometimes it works and  others not.  I get  "I make decisions all day IM resting.."   *mamatx.
