Ladies, have you ever loved a guy who didn't love you back?

I have known this guy since we were four. We were best friends. I have loved him ever since, and I thought that he loved me, too, the way he always teased me, ad the way he would look at me when he thought I wasn't looking. I could tell he loved me. And not like a sister or anything like that. Like a girlfriend. And I just had this dream, and in the dream he had given me a note that said, I love you. I have loved you ever since we met when we were four. And right then we were boyfriend and girlfriend. And then I woke up and now I feel like somebody has ripped my heart out. I'm too sad to cry because the guy I love doesn't love me back. But a few months ago, everybody was telling me that he liked me. And any time I cried, he was always there to comfort me. So do you think he still loves me, ladies?

Whats with the title? Sounds like he loves you to me.

Don't go by what "everybody" was telling you. What has HE told you? You could be putting more into this then there is because you want it to be so. Like and love are two entirely different things. Is he the shy type? Dream sometimes are wishful thinking. We carry over at night what was on our mind during the day. You  have been best friends since the age of four. This guy could love you but not be IN love with you. Do you understand what I mean dear? Don' sweat it and if  he feels more for you then friendship he most likely will let you know when he's ready. You cannot force a person to love you. Do not try.
