all hot for a guy but you never did anything with him. you are now married and you meet the old flame at a reunion or something. you're still attracted to him and he is to you. hypothetically, and skipping long details, you're husband gives the ok, you wont see this guy for another 20 years, THERE WILL NOT BE marital, mental, health or emotional repercussions, do you sleep with him?

answer on these factors only since there are no other variables to consider.

then, same question to the guys.

curious whether the answers will differ.

  1. I was 9 years old 20 years ago.

  2. This is such a tough question to answer. Hypothetically speaking, no repercussions....I understand this would have to be way off in fairy tale land... but if ALL these conditions were true, I'd probably say yes.

TRUE STORY: There is one guy from high school who I absolutely adored. We broke up because he said I was too serious considering our ages. I thought I'd never see him again & cried for months - I was just 16! He went off to Vietnam a year later(unknown to me) & I met someone else, became engaged. Just a few months after the engagement, guess who returned hoping to start over? Despite his pleas I stayed with my fiance, to whom I've now been married for more than 30 years. Imagine my surprise when this man from my past reappeared in my email last year? Oh did those feeling ever return! We wrote for a while, never met because we felt it wasn't appropriate considering we were both married - but oh was it tempting! But I have never cheated on my husband & never would. So I do understand your question - many here may be too young to know what this can be like!

HYPOTHETICALLY SPEAKING: So in your hypothetical universe, I'd say yes...it would be so great to spend just one night with him!

But in the real world where we have to live, I do love my husband, believe in my vows, have been tested & refused to fail, so I've already said no. Sometimes it's so hard to do the right thing!

  3. Warning: you're going to get a lot of answers from people who don't understand what a hypothetical question is.

I do understand what one is.  My wife OKs it and there are no repercussions?  My answer is yes.

  4. in this hypothetical scenario with no negative consequences, Yes!  why not?

it would be fun and serve as a great memory

  5. WOW!  That is a difficult question, and as flattered as I would be by hooking up with an old flame, I would still have to look at myself in the mirror in the morning.  Not to mention that even if my spouse gave the okay, he would always wonder, and that question of infidelity would always linger...sometimes it just isn't worth it.  But I can certainly think of one guy I would like to catch up on old times with, a girl can always dream, but that is all I could do, never act on it.

  6. 20 years ago, I was just a lonely sperm in my dad's sack...haha.

But anyway, what kind of husband would give you the ok to go ahead and sleep with another man? You're wrong, there will be marital repercussions, you just don't see them now. Bringing another person into your bed only leads to insecurity, jealousy and confusion. Nothing good can come from this, so keep your pants on and your attention to your husband, the man you made vows to stay faithful and true to.

  7. Your husband gives the OK? That's not a marriage, but anyway, get a divorce if you want to sleep around. Marriage is sacred, don't polute it.

  8. NO, don't mess up your relationship by bringing someone else in!!!!! It will most definitely not be worth it, just keep it as a little fantasy.

  9. How could there not be any marital repercussions? How can one be sure of no health issues? Is he getting tested first? What about HPV, there is no test for HPV in men, did I get the gardisal shot? Obviously if I want to sleep with someone there won't be mental or emotional problems later because I'm not a bint who sleeps with men for the wrong reasons, but what if your wife is?

Anyway, if there are no issues and you've got an open marriage or some sort of agreement where sleepign with other people on rare occasion is acceptable and does not go against any promises made, sure.

In my relationship though, I've already made a promise not to sleep with anyone else and he has made the same to me. I think changing that wouldn't work, but not everyone made those promises. Traditional vows don't contain it and plenty of people getting married view their vows as their personal promises...

  10. Funny you ask: I was going through my yearbook a while back, and figured out all the opportunities I let go because the chick wasnt in our "click".

Nothing I could do about it, but it would have serious consideration.

  11. no I wouldn't sleep with him and I would be kind of offended if my hubby gave me the ok to do so

  12. h**l NO!   I am married and no good will come by f*cking someone that I may have had the hots for many years ago....LOL.....I am still cracking up on the part where my husband actually gives the ok to s***w this guy...THAT AINT GOING TO HAPPEN EVER!  My hubby has far more respect for me and would NEVER give the ok for me to do the nasties with another....

  13. No, I would not sleep with him. And the husband must be out of his mind to allow that. The two of them had their chance but did not pursue it so, lost cause.

  14. No not unless my marrage is already doomed for failure.

  15. 20 years ago i was 3 so i wouldnt even know what sleeping with them was...lol

But no I wouldnt ever, even if the husband gives the okay its still cheating.

  16. are you writing for the "new" swingtown series?

    or what?

    yes

    they need an over "40"

    section here agree

so is the husband gonna watch?

    or join in?

    nevermind

just showing you I have a "personality"

I was already asked this by my first and second marriages

and both men hurt me by asking

    I'd say a big NO

to anyone else whom wanted this sort of threesome sorry

maybe you should of limited the Question

    to all ~swingers~

when you have one person whom lights up your s*x life so much

you need nothing else your I guess what you call rare and estacically happy

    hunh?

    takecare

  17. If you are married it is not okay to have s*x with an old flame.  It indicates there is something wrong with your moral compass if you do think it's okay.

  18. I wouldn't, when i married my husband i promised that he would be the only man i would ever share my body with and even if he said it was ok i could never do it. my vows mean to much to me to break them for some nostalgic s*x.

  19. Even if spouse says ok there would always be repercusions

  20. THERE WILL BE marital, mental, health and emotional repercussions, after you sleep with him, they don't exist now because it's fantasy, but it will in some way or another haunt you!  Whether it opens up the door for your husband to do it, you do it again etc, seriously how good will it be the first time with him anyway, I would take the fact that you are even considering this very seriously.

  21. No! because I wouldn't want my husband sleeping with someone else!

  22. I probably would after seriously thinking about it.

  23. NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  24. I think that your crazy!  You can say what you want to but there will be marital, mental, and emotional repercussions if you should sleep with him.  If there's not than there's a problem in your marriage already.  What happen to your vowels? Those are boundaries that you don't step on.  Everyone fantasizes, that doesn't mean that you put your marriage and your husband, you know the man that your suppose to be loyal, and loving to in jeopardy. It's called respect and if you loose it, you will not survive.  Because that will always be in the back of his mine.

  25. Nope, that would just be too weird.

  26. h**l NO!!  Where is your morals and vows!!

Forget about him, you are married NOW!!

p.s.- 20 years ago would make me 6 months!

  27. no

fantasy is best kept to fantasy, in reality it never measures up

  28. Nope.
