  1. Catherine the Great, Czar of Russia in the 18th century. Ascended to the throne after overthrowing her husband (he was inept at ruling) and made Russia a powerful nation expanding its size and forming powerful allies. Truly a woman of character, ruthfulness, and at the same time compassion.

  2. The late Princess Diana, she is sweet, s**y, intelligent, have a good public relation but her other side is" too hot to handle".

  3. mary j. blige and keyshia cole

  4. Rachal Carson, naturalist. "Rachel Louise Carson (May 27, 1907 – April 14, 1964) was an American marine biologist and nature writer whose writings are credited with advancing the global environmental movement."

"It is a wholesome and necessary thing for us to turn again to the earth and in the contemplation of her beauties to know the sense of wonder and humility." - Rachel Carson

  5. A woman that I think I can identify myself with would be Abigail Adams (John Adams wife), based upon what I have read, her and her husband were intellectual equals, they loved each other deeply, she was also known to be compassionate and also had a great sense of humor/wit.    I would hope to live up to her attributes, just thought through reading about her I could relate to her.

  6. I like Queen Elizabeth 1st - a woman way ahead of her time, and one of the greatest rulers England has ever seen :-)

  7. Maria Montessori- She was one of the leading founders of early childhood education.  Though I tend to disagree with her theory and methods (like giving three year olds drills), I respect her achievements, findings and advocacy for the need of education among young children.

  8. I can't think of anyone I identify with in the sense of feeling that I am at all similar to them.  There are a lot of women in history however who I admire greatly.  None I can think of that I identify with.

  9. lorena bobbit

  10. Aphra Behn...more I study her the more I find that I'm like her in personality, and out look on the world.  She's just english and lived 300 years ago!

  11. wow, what a choice! :-)

i don't know about 'identifying with' as she was undoubtedly vastly more intelligent than me :-) but i'll go for barbara mcclintock, an outstanding and nobel prize-winning geneticist (1902 - 1992)
