  1. Well why cant you do the same things on your period?

  2. 1. Wear a tampon. It will prevent most leaks without getting in your way. Change it regularly, of course.

       2. Use a menstrual cup, instead. Rather than absorbing menstrual fluids like a tampon, a menstrual cup collects them. Because it is worn internally like a tampon, it can be worn with a swimsuit or leotard.

       3. Try moderate exercise to relieve cramps and moodiness. When you feel bloated, take a walk. The fresh air and movement may help.

              * Severe cramps may not respond to exercise, though it's worth a try if you have no other recourse. If you can, though, try other methods to relieve severe cramps, including heat, ibuprofen or other appropriate painkiller, and massage.

       4. Exercise as you normally would. Don't sit out this week because you have your period. By the same token, don't increase the intensity of your workout greatly right now. Work up gradually, as always.

       5. Stay hydrated. You sweat as you exercise, and you will need to replace those fluids.

       6. Exercise in private. If you're embarrassed or worried about exercising during your period, close the door, turn on the music, and dance. Take a walk or jog by yourself.

              * If you are embarrassed about it, ask yourself why. All women menstruate, so take a test-drive to convince yourself that you're not leaking or showing anything you'd rather not, and get out there with confidence.

    [edit] Tips

        * During your period, you may wish to omit stretching exercises and yoga positions that involve being upside down.

        * Have fun. As always, exercise for the fun of it, as well as for the health benefits.

        * Warm up before and cool down after any workout with moderate motion and stretching.

        * Stop if exercise is painful or if you feel lightheaded or short of breath. These symptoms may not have anything to do with your period, but it is wise to heed your body's warnings, no matter what the reason.

    [edit] Warnings

        * Especially intense exercise, such as that undertaken by professional athletes, may cause amenorrhea, or the cessation of menstrual periods. This cessation, when due to exercise, is generally temporary and reverses naturally when the exercise regimen becomes more moderate. Sustained, vigorous exercise can also delay menarche (the beginning of periods) in young girls. Since there are many reasons for amenorrhea, consult your doctor if your period becomes irregular, rather than assuming it is due to your exercise regimen. [3] Do not avoid exercise for this reason; rather, pay attention to your body, lose weight gradually, and train sensibly. [4]

  3. I'm on weight watchers and i love it. try that and you could also instead of just sitting around and feeling fat you could take a walk and that isn't to strenuous.

  4. You can still do all those things, I played soccer my whole childhood and was captain for highschool, your period is no excuse!!

I didnt let any girls use cramping, heavy period or any other lame excuse!

there's some motivation for ya ;)

  5. You can still do it but do it right after you change your pad

    And maybe not as long

  6. Keep eating healthy, don't eat salty foods (they make you bloated) and drink lots of water.

Your period should be lighter in a few days and then you'll be able to exercise.

But remember you're not going to lose weight in 2 weeks. You might lose a lot, but it's gonna come back because it's a quick fix. I know I sound like one of those diet gurus, but the best diet is one that you can do for your whole life.

So eat healthy, don't eat salty foods, and drink tons and tons of water.

  7. Your period is never an excuse to not being able to exercise! That is the first thing our PE teacher tells us in the locker room on the first day. It might be weird doing sit ups, but try just walking and running. If you have a treadmill, elliptical, something of that sort... use that. Riding your bike shouldn't be a problem either. It'll be hard to lose that much weight in 2 weeks, but you can start to tone up a bit. Do some things like push ups and planks, and walking up stairs (or a Stairmaster, or whatever it's called. You can also tone up your legs a bit if as you're walking up the stairs, you rise onto your toes, and drop 3 times per stair. Your legs are hard the next day!) Plus, you'll have next week to work out too, since your first period normally won't last 2 whole weeks.

  8. how old are you?

    join a gym!

youre not going to see results over 2 weeks either you need time.  try to find some clothes that you feel look good on you NOW and that will help in the meantime

  9. Sweetie...there's not much you can do in two weeks.  Just drink lots of water and monitor your calorie intake.  Keep up the exercise and you'll see results in your own good time.  I know you want to make a good impression, but you want to be healthy too.  You still have some growing to do, so don't be in a hurry to alter your body.

  10. Omg, answering the bike part from experience. DO NOT ride your bike, it gives you horrible cramps. When I was in Japan with my friend riding bikes in her hometown, I had the most horrible cramps from riding around on a bike. (I didn't really have a choice in the matter though, since riding by bike was the fastest way to get around.)

And since your period is so heavy, I suggest doing simpler exercises to somewhat keep the pain to a minimum. So try doing leg exercises and whatnot. I suggest taking Midol/ibuprofen before exercising.
