I know she'll like me for who I am and all that good stuff (hopefully), but what's your opinion on this ring?

Too big? Too small? Just right?

  1. Yeah.  My boyfriend todl me he was going to get me a homo sapien dress for the solstice and instead bought some bar wench sh** back from the halloween store.  The moral of the story is that you're retarded for being a r****d and donkeys but you smell like a sheba cat food container v****a

  2. Gosh, you guys are so much into specifications! Most times it's more about the style, not the numbers...

Most women just love that the man chose a ring for her, and that he's ASKING!

For me, personally, that's too much bling - I have dainty hands. I also like having rings I can wear ALL the time, without worrying about them.

  3. Personally, the idea that my fiance chose the ring all alone was enough for me. I would love it just as much if it were smaller or bigger than the one I have. It really is the thought that counts! If you chose it with her in mind, she'll love it

  4. sounds awesome, but what is the clarity, that is nearly the most important stat on a stone, E is a great color, but you won't be able to tell that from a F or a G. Ideal cut is always best and the size is nice and big, but if that stone comes with a clarity of I2, then not worth it, buy a smaller stone with better clarity.

  5. The ring sounds really nice, I think it's perfect.  I think anything bigger would be too big--but every woman is different.

  6. Round cut is very popular for engagement rings, so you're good there.

The carat weight is about perfect in my book, it's not astronomically huge but it isn't tiny either.

The cut is very good.  Ideal is one of the better choices.

The color is great, it's nearly impossible to find a good color diamond and E is right up there with the best!

I think you've found a good ring.  It would be perfect if it was cheap too!  Just kidding, I'm sure she'll love it!

  7. I wear a size 4.5 and have very thin fingers. A 1.3 carat ring would be huge on me and look fake. It would be too big. I think 1 would be plenty. It might be just right for her though.

  8. That is an AMAZING ring!  It's a great quality (from the few details you've given) and it is also a big carat size (you've obviously got some $$$ to spend).

It's not about the money obviously, but she's a lucky girl!!

Just be sure to have it insured :)

Addition:  Someone below me added something about her finger size - that is important to keep in mind.  My finger is 3.5, so a 1.38 diamond would look like costume jewelry on me.  Her finger/hand size should be a determing factor in what the carat size is, because you want it to look normal on her, and you might not have to pay extra money for such a big diamond if she has smaller hands.

  9. An outstanding choice!

  10. I think it sounds gorgeous but if she is petite the size might look too big on her hands. I've got really small hands (ring size 5) and anything over a carat looked too big.

  11. sounds perfect to me. I like bling.

  12. just right!
