I don't feel embarrassed about being barefoot, I've always been barefoot for eleven years, I'm pretty much used to people doing a double-take or making a brief comment. If anyone -male or female, attractive or not- asks me about my bare feet, I generally just explain briefly I'm always barefoot and then go on about my way. Only when I notice people hold a lot of bias against bare feet, like unfortunately often happens here on the answers, I explain in more detail how going barefoot is not dangerous, unhealthy or gross, nor is it against any laws or regulations to go barefoot in public places or in stores or restaurants. While I love going barefoot just for comfort and health, it's just something I do, not something I talk about much or think about all day. I usually only discuss it when other barefooters ask for practical tips or when countering the bias I mentioned.

Well..okay. I may be a little embarrassed.

And by the next day, I'll get over it.

If I knew him then ...well, I'll eventually get over it anyways :)
