Ladies: Are you closer to your mum or dad?

I have two sisters and a brother and we are all closer to our dad. That doesn't mean we don't love our mom but we are so very much closer to our dad then her. I guess it's because he has always been more open and understanding and he just loves us so much and has always been able to show us how very important we are to him. Our mom is more into living her life and talking to us once every few months or so.

Our dad is just the best dad in the world and all four of us know how lucky we are to have a dad like him. He is 77 now and very sick. He is in end stage lung failure and a few months ago we were told that he only had a few weeks left. One night he was so bad that we all said our goodbyes to him. The next morning he woke up and was fantastic!!!!!!

He should not have survived the night but we all believe that he just wasn't ready to leave us yet. He is ok with the fact that he is going to pass on but he just is so worried about us. I am so thankful for this time that I have with him because everyday we have with him is truly a gift... :)

my mom, my dad has never tried to understand me and shes not even my biological parent out of the two but she would do anything for me and even wanted me b4 she really wanted my dad. i am so lucky to have her.

I am closer to my mom. Hands down. Mainly because she is a girl and I can talk about more things with her, and I just get along with her better. =)

Definitely my mum. I've been told before that apparently girls are supposed to be closer to their fathers, but I could never imagine telling my dad half the things I do my mum. It's just that she's a woman, and understands everything I go through, because more often than not, she's been in the exact same situation. My dad plays an important role in my life too, but it's always mum whom I can turn to, and who will understand me best :)

Mostly because she's not scary about certain issues, like boys and clothing.

My dad would MUCH rather watch tv than listen to me complain and cry about things. Mom's much better for that!

But dad's always great for the cute funny stuff. :D
