Ladies! Can you please describe to me the pain of childbirth?

Please only serious answers. How sore is it? Can you compare contractions to a painful period? Thank you

It's weird, it's painful, but different to pain like when you fall over.  It's more like a really bad period cramp! But you do forget it's strange!! The best part is the pushing part, your body just sort of takes over.

It is indescribable pain and about 10 times worst than period pains...

It differs from person to person. Last week my friend had her baby in 10 minutes in the car - no pain just a lot of discomfort and my cleaner had 48 hours of labour and then a cesarean! Just stay calm, do the classes and you will be fine.

It is extremely painful for some and a piece of cake for others. There is no one true answer for your question. Good luck!! I am due in 3 weeks.  

P.S. I have been told by many that the one other thing that compares to it is kidney stones.

hurts like a B*tch, take the drugs. very very very very (cant say very enough) painful period but when its over, and you hold that baby you would do it all over again right away!!!

I think contractions feel like ... well imagine the worst gas pain ever and multiply it by 100 they friggin hurt! My first didnt hurt to bad but my second omg!  as for having the baby idk ive had c sections

It is just like bad period pain. Only much worse.

It is all worth it though!

No. contractions aren't like period cramps. They are painful and I was trying to crawl out of my body. I was moving around the bed trying to get away from them. I had to get an epidural. That made labor a breeze,
