Ladies: Do beauty claims really 'work' or change your skin, ie anti- wrinkle claims ?

Question

I think its good to have a facial moisturiser with spf to save sun rays harming you and smooth your skin so its softer, but I am astonished that people think you can alter, or halt altogether, facial lines /wrinkles and reverse the natural progressive signs of ageing. Some patronising womens product adverts are aired and I think 'yeah right, pull the other one...'

anyone else think we are unfairly targetted to 'not age' facially ?

or maybe you ONLY bought a branded beauty item because of the hype and claims it made ?

Hi I dont use any anti wrinkle creams/anti aging cream, but I know my mum has used various ones and some do work better than others and do actaully improve the skin tone and texture and acutally prevent wrinkles you have to get the right cream for the right thing or it wont work. But the ones my mum have tried she swears by them yes they probably dont stop the aging process nothing can but they do prevent more coming and like I say help improve skin tone etc so it doest get worse.

My mum love the avon range as the other in the shops dont work she has wasted money on olay etc when the only one that works and she agrees to is avon. Which is the product that never gets mentioned.

they dont really fill lines and wrinkels my mum uses it and it bassically makes your skin feel softer but they wrinkels are still there no differtent really and you have to by loads of it to make a difference not much piont in them i dont think but i dont use them

i use  oil of olay..it does make my face softer and i do beleive it helps with wrinkles..im 47 and people always tell me i have no wrinkles..but i do have some around my eyes..i call them laugh lines

I don't really know Carrie, As I am only 23 I have no need for them. You appear to be young so why are you using them?

Yes ..a temporary change came about when I bought Lancomb anti wrinkle cream.It lasts for about 5 hours it really works but its 75.00 for a month supply.
