i think that men and women are equals and gender roles are outdated.  My parents both have equal authourity and both 'sit at the head of the table' if you will.  I do not let men control me just as men should not let women control them

No not at all. Feminism is the right for women to become equal with men. It's putting a name on what we fight for. Being a feminist is a person that fights for women rights at being equal with men. It is not the tyranny of men.

no, i belive everyone is equal and have their own rights. If the men want the house cleaned they should help clean it.

Ignorance is bliss.  If you dont know your being subjected to discrimination, you don't worry about it.

The case that made women get equal pay as men happen in 1988.  A women worked as a miner for 9 years before she found out she was being paid a whole lot less.  Do you think she was imposed before she knew?

I agree with it . In our quest to become "equal " with men,we have also heaped upon woman kind to take on the responsibilities and requirements traditionally done by the males in our society. I think that this whole thing is more of a social issue than a question of equal rights.
