  1. Oh they definitely got preferential treatment and lots of female attention. They were really encouraged to speak up.

I think they all got a lot of action as well. Maybe that's why they joined!

  2. Get back in the kitchen!

  3. Nice.  We had one guy only, Steve.  He was cool.  We all liked Steve.  He had 7 sisters....  I think he taught us a thing or two about women.

  4. Very nice I hear. Could you please elaborate on how women want rights, but not responsibilities? What responsibilities were you  referring to?

  5. Honestly, I felt kinda bad for them.  Even if they were a bit clueless and could've benefited from the class they were still treated in a way that I know I wouldn't want to be treated (cut off, ignored, treated like the enemy ever so slightly).  It was never anything huge, but it was enough that I was a bit embarrassed by it all, to be honest.

  6. Just fine...got some blushes out of them when we read the disappointment.  lol

besides that no different then any other class.

  7. I took one class which was offered jointly by the Department of Women's Studies and Film Studies called "Feminist Interpretation of Film".  We were all treated the same by the professor.  He was male and a faculty member of Film Studies Department.  What did you expect?   Why would you feel the need to ask this question?

You have had no exposure to any courses offered by Women's Studies departments, jointly or otherwise.  Its obvious.  How can you hope to intelligently discuss subject matter you know nothing about?  Its not possible.

Fyi:  "Women's Studies" is an INTERDISCIPLINARY area of scholarly investigation drawing primarily - but not exclusively - on the Social Sciences.

  8. Im a guy and I took a Woman's Studies course back in college. The women treated me well. They were really into what I had to say. And it was interesting listening to what the women had to say. I actually though about making it my major.

  9. With kid gloves.

And we were always nice and offered to help them with their homework.

  10. The L*****n professor laughed at him loudly when he asked, "If feminists want rights, what will be their corresponding responsibilities?". This was about 10 years ago, and my friends tell me this kind of thing continues.

He was the only guy in the class and she spent the rest of the academic term making him feel small. It was the first of many steps that turned me against feminism.

  11. I wouldn't know; I never took one. But a professor in the department informed me that male students were welcomed warmly by profs and fellow students alike.
