Ladies: Why do you wear white dresses with brightly colored underwear?

This has happened numerous times... Happened today, actually. I was walking down the sidewalk and a cute girl walks by. As she gets closer, I see that she is wearing a white cotton dress. However, I'm also able to see the bright blue thong she has on underneath.

Now, I'm not complaining... Because it's nice to look at.

But why do you girls do that? Is there a reason, or is it just an honest mistake?

Some do it because when they look in the mirror there is no ray of sunshine and they dont realize the sun will make it see through. Some do it because they think it is s**y.

Well, I never wear white dresses, so I don't know, lol. It's either because they are lazy or that they honestly don't even notice when they do it.

Lights indoors are different then outdoors, so maybe she didn't even know the dress was see through because when she was inside it wasn't. Or she knew it was, and people are going to see her undies regardless so mise as well show them off.

If I were to wear a white dress, I would be careful about what I had on underneath. Beige or nude color is the best option.

Because they are not thinking when they put on a white dress or white pant to know you don't wear colorful thong on light clothing.

She probably didn't think it would show .... she may have forgotten to put on her slip ..... maybe she picked an outfit to wear, changed her mind but forgot to change her underthings.

My  husband has actually done the same without realizing.  He was about to leave the house in a very handsome outfit of off white linen dress slacks and black on black shirt -- until I looked down and realized that he was wearing his kelly green and white stripped boxers!  He didn't even think about those things showing through his pants.  Happens to guys, too.

Those types of floosy girls hardly have a brain in their head.  Give them credit for wearing underwear at all.

Women are equally d**n lazy as men. Planning outfits is no fun, so who wants to change their underwear before wearing a fun white dress? Because that's more laundry, and more undies to wash. So, might as well leave it on. At least you know she's not going commando.
