  1. I know the basics, like how to change a tire and how to change the oil filter etc.

  2. Yes, it's sensible if you have a part of expensive machinery that you rely on to know the basic workings of it.

  3. No, I don't and I don't care to learn.   Thats why I have a good mechanic.

I barely have enough time for the activities I find pleasurable.

  4. If I really had to I could change the oil and a tire.  Luckily I have  wonderful husband, father and auto shop so I have never had to.

  5. i tell my dad

  6. NOO.

    EWHH.

  7. No, but that's only because I don't have a car. I have every intention of learning how to work on it.

  8. no

  9. my stepdad did up cars and i helped so now im 21 i know my way around a engine, {i still cant drive thought} lol

  10. I can't but I have a friend who can!! My husband was working out of town when my gas tank started leaking. My friend took off the old one, put on the new one. Somehow my grandaughter got the gas cap off and filled it full of red dirt the next day. So she took it off, cleaned it out, and put it back on for me!!! She can also work on lawn mowers, weed eaters and 4 wheelers and motorcycles. She's a great friend to have and she's still very feminine!!!!

  11. I am learning out of necessity...its nothing to brag about.

  12. I can pump gas, check the oil and fix  flat.  Just basic stuff- thats about it.  If somethings acting wrong, I just tell my husband to check it out.

  13. I know how to change a tyre and fill the oils and stuff like that, no major repairs though. I wouldn't even be able to change a battery. I think it would be a really good idea to run a short course in car repairs for women. You know, just stuff that women may find useful, and also some trouble shooting, you know? Like, that the car is overheating if there's steam coming from under the bonnet, to turn the car off, get out, get help and by all means, don't open the bonnet!! You'll burn your face off. Just handy hints and a practical fix-it side to it too..

  14. Change fuses, head light bulbs, tires, check and fill liquids. Other stuff I leave to my hubby.

  15. I sure do.

A smart woman knows how to change her tire and at least do general car maintainence and check ups.

It's not that hard to learn and it's much safer than sitting in your car waiting to be "rescued." There are many instances of women being abducted while having car problems.

Better to be safe than sorry.

  16. Many women have been known to work on their face in the mirror
