Royal Ascot Ladies Day was back in June.  Are you planning on racing at Ascot this Friday - Sunday?

The dress code is generally the same from course to course.   To get into the members (or Premier enclosure) you should wear smart day wear - think "wedding outfit": smart trouser suit, dress and shawl (dresses/skirts should be between knee and calf length, any shorter is inappropriate and any longer and it looks like an evening dress!).

The dress code for the Royal Enclosure is very strict (no bare shoulders, hats covering the crown of the head, etc), but the Royal Enclosure is only in operation during Royal Ascot week.

Something classy.  A lot of ladies these days seem to go for shock value or fancy dress.  As others have said, think posh wedding and you will be on the right track.

YES Ladies Do dress for Ascot Ladies Day.

Usually on apar with what normal people would wear at weddings.

The trick is to get the in vogue colour so watch what is coming into fashion for a few weeks before.

If I pretend to be Old Moores Almanac I will predict that next years colour will be lime green and pink!!!!
