  1. No. Everyone pays, so it's first come first served. Unless they are heavily pregnant or very old, they have to stand.

  2. ladies have reserved seats in bus.....  also some people will sacrifice for old ..women....  am from India and U.A.E

  3. ha ha ha - nope - hardly anyone gets offered a seat where I live.  People are always going on about it in the newspapers.  Pregnant people or old people - standing on the trains and buses while the younger people sit there and ignore them.

I live in Singapore - it's a big issue here.

I'll offer my seat and it's usually gratefully taken.

  4. I live in Canada. Most of the polite men in are country will offer woman their seat. That is nice but some men chose not to give a woman thier seat.

  5. I live in Canada also, and I find that men often are very curteous to women. It's a little bit less common among the teenage population, but you get the occasional gesture from them as well. I think the problem is that the women here are becoming more complacent to living a life where they do not need the help of men. For this reason, I have seen many women turn down an offer like a seat on the bus. In my opinion, if they offer, you owe them to take it in order to show that you respect their actions. Otherwise, why would they bother trying anymore?
