i wouldn't...the thought of being 26 when the man was a newborn baby seems too weird for me...

But each to his own...perhaps its the meeting of the minds? Remember that story about Ann Taylor the poetess falling in love with her young student?? Its touching...she died young & he visited her grave & said "i'm older than you now ..." Sometimes theres a connection that has nothing to do with age.

well i AM 50 & no...i would not date anybody of 24...i think her bloke is after all three...he will sure be in the public eye...& he can sell his story if it all goes pearshaped!!

i am 45 and i would not date such a young man , we would not have much in common , men date younger women all that time too yuk

Maybe he needs a Mother Figure

Maybe she's found that men of 50+ just don't have what it takes any more.

Maybe it's just an intellectual relationship

Maybe they have each found a genuine soul mate, regardless of age.

Sometimes I feel it is sad that we set so much store on age gaps or that men should be older than their women (after all they die at a younger age on average).  Would we feel quite so judgemental if he were 50 and she 24?  

There was a lovely film called "40 carat gold" (?); about a guy of 20 who fell in love with a woman of 40 and a vivid portrayal of the difficulties both faced from their peers and families.  I commend it to the house.

I am 51 and no I wouldn't.Some younger guys are in to older women,no big deal.
