  1. Nope I wouldn't be offended because that is what flight attendants used to be called about 15-20 years ago.  Maybe some people still use the term, air hostess.  Besides that's what they are anyway they "host" you in the air!

  2. they dont like that?

but ive always called em air hostesses.

hmm, i shall remember this for the next time i happento be on a plane going somewhere. I had no idea.

  3. Only feminism can exert enough thought control and freedom of expression to answer such a question.  Feminism is the ultimate arbiter of that which is correct and proper.

  4. I've heard of people who work such jobs being offended by being called certain things. I have no clue what to call them though, truthfully.

I don't know why but I'm tempted to use the term 'sky waitress.' It sounds correct to me.

  5. I am a flight attendant, and no, it wouldn't irk me in the least.  It's funny, in my 12 years flying people seem to be so unsure what to call us.  I answer to anything.

It was "stewardess", then "cabin attendant", and so on.  "Air hostess" is what everyone calls the job in the UK.

Personally, I stick with "OH MISS"!!!!!!
