ladies...if you were going to a black tie event(a ball), what would you do and not do?

in order to be the best looking woman there, what would you do and not do ?

Do be sure to thank you host/hostess for the evening.  Make sure that you mingle - don't just hide out in a corner.  If a meal is being served make sure that you know what all the utensils are used for and when to use them.  Be sure to place your napkin in your lap.

Don't drink too much.  Don't pick your nose (good one), and don't have unlady-like behaviors (burping, farting, or slouchiness).

Don't overdress and over-accessorize.Black tie requires a long,unpouffy dress,not a ball gown. The skirt of the dress is straight,the dress has sleeves and is not too low-cut. You could opt for sleeveless,but you can't be too bare.Opt for a good fit;get the dressed tailored for your proportions.Jewelry should not distract,so go for one major piece,earrings and not a necklace,or necklace,not earrings,you don't want to look like you're a Christmas Tree wearing too many ornaments.Choose a color that flatters you.Also an option is the feminine version of the man's attire,a feminine tuxedo,but of a flowier material and cut for a woman's body.The jacket is cut so that you don't have to wear a shirt underneath it,but you are covered. A jacket that is cut for a shirt requires a silk or satin frilly blouse,or a silk camisole.
