Let say that you was in a relationship for 3 years and you wanted to marry the guy or girl you was with. He or she was not ready cause you both had issues that need to be resolved. Both of you did not communicate about the issues. Lets say the issues was you past and the way you raised your kids from prior marriages. You both had bad marriages and that was apart of the problem as well.

Ok you decided to move back home hours away from him or her and got a place for you and your kids. You had a job, but no place to live. Why you do this? You pack up your stuff to take with you, but you take only clothes. You still have a lot of stuff that you need to get. Why you leave all those things behind? You only wanted come back to get the things you packed, which was not much. Yet you could have put them in your van, but you left them. Why you leave all your stuff with this guy or girl and not get all your things? Did you leave for someone else or did you do it to take time to figure out what you really want? Tell the whys and the out come to your situation. Thought this be a good topic to talk about and might help others to maybe understand the whys and the out come.

  1. Yes I have when my home was elsewhere, if you mean leaving with only my clothes.  You almost have to have a home base to keep all your stuff at so you always have that place to come back to.

I think you mean why would a woman leave you and take her clothes but leave everything else.  In this case I would leave stuff behind so I would have a reason to come back later and see that person,or because I'd had enough and didn't care what I took or left.

My ex would do this when he wanted to spend a few days with a woman or women and couldn't trust his personal belongings around them.  He would leave his things with me, where he knew they would be safe and take his clothes and stay with them.  A few days later he would come back, take his stuff, and part of mine, and then he would leave again.  I never could reason with him.

One time he beat my *** over a package of dental floss.  He said "I want my dental floss.  Give it back!"  I'm serious.  He couldn't find it and popped me in the head with his fist.  This occurred when I forced him to leave and he didn't want to go.  But after that I was hesitent about letting him bringing anything but his clothes around, although I really wanted him back.  He moved in and out so much it was hilarious in ways, sad in others.

I hope your situation is better than mine.  Good luck.

  2. This is way too long and complicated.  But chances are, if you had trouble with your partner in the past, you will have trouble with your partner in the future.  As for your stuff, if you leave it behind, don't be surprised if you can't get it back in the future.  Possesion is 9/10's of the law.
