  1. Striker.

And as captain he could direct the rest of the team to kick the ball to him & he'd end up being the leading goalscorer. That's where I'd play myself - & what I'd do if I was captain.

  2. Central midfielder of course and all you b*****s stop whining you dont know ****

  3. sexist  ....      i wont tell u now...sulk ..sulk....u can make ur own tea...am inviting me mother for chistmas...and no more nuptuals ...  on the other hand if u were to value my opinion....

  4. central midfielder as they will be nearer more people and can tell them what to do etc... why not girls answering?? x

  5. Sexist pig!

  6. I'd say, central!

  7. Central Midfielder

this is my sisters avertar but i share the acount with her

  8. thats a tough choice, if they were goalie then they would play for about 5 mins at a time where they can learn letters numbers. lol

  9. Central Midfield. He'll be better able to direct the other players from that position.

  10. Central Midfielder, goal keepers aren't in the game most of the time, whereas a central midfielder gets all over the pitch.

  11. Sorry can't help you, I'm not interested in football and the wife is at the match.

But I'll be controversial and say the goalkeeper as they have a better view/understanding of the "overall" game.  A general is rarely in the thick of battle but at the back watching.

  12. Central midfield as you can lead from the front and back, any girls out there would think this was a sexist reply they dont know anything about footie.

  13. A goalkeeper is better as they can see the whole game in front of them and delegate from the back, although you could have worse positions for a captain than center mid as they have to get involved with 90% of the play, it is difficult for them to not be watching the game.

  14. quarterback

  15. why can't girls answer? girls play football! I used to play football! They have girls that play football professionally. Why on Earth would you assume that a girl wouldn't be able to answer this question just as well as a guy, especially if she plays the game??

And just for arguments sake, I'm gonna say it doesn't matter, as long as he or SHE has good leadership skills and knows how to read the game.

  16. that's ok, can't stand football anyway.  But got two points.

  17. central midfielder i believe would be a better choice. it really depends whos the better player. and who is a team leader and never gives up

  18. Considering that both players have equal leadership skills, I will have to go with midfielder every time

  19. central midfielder

  20. central midfielder so that the strikers can actually communicate with the skipper  as well, although what does gender have to do with this question

  21. Central Mid.

He can "conrtrol" more players on the park from there, including the keeper.

The keeper has restricted movements so will be less effctive as a captain when on the attack.

Just my opinion. No disrepsect to any keepers who are or have been successfull captains

  22. Central defender. Although the goalie can see everything from the back, a defender can go all over the field giving instructions, little words of encouragement, etc. Bobby Moore, Tony Adams.....

  23. centre mid. never a gk.

  24. Mid-fielder.....as he/she can be at any place/position on the field at any given moment , to assess the flow of play.

a Goalie has a limited view of the game and can have "sight-line" blocked by other players , PLUS , there is no allowance for the Goalie to move too far from the nets , with-out leaving the net un-defended!

Hope this can settle your Argument...
