Is it on the level or is it a big hype to cover for the Al-Fayeds?

Khan seems unlikely - obviously the Bobby Kennedy of the scam. Probably Dodi tried to fob her off to Khan after he was through with her . Dodi was dumping her.

After all, Khan is hardly President Kennedy; and yet we never saw anything about their affair in print whilst her romance with Al-Fayed has been well-documented.

Nope, Diana was being dumped and wouldn`t have it; particularly as she was undoubtedly pregnant with (Dodi`s) child. No conclusive autopsy report because she very conveniently was killed in an obliterative car crash.

Still I`d like to read the autopsy report. Also have they checked the film footage to see if everything congeals with the time they allege they left the hotel for the fatal car ride? I suspect that the time was at least 5 hours earlier and they were en route to the abortionist.

That said, Diana`s allegations about Princes Charles and Philip are astonishing.

Hmm...wondering if Diana's mum, with her comment about alleged flings with Mr. Fayed and Mr. Khan was influence to many British punters on here in future years? Seems like it...DaveH notwithstanding!

  But seriously...what's Mr. Khan got to do with Bobby Kennedy - or John - who I suspect is the person you mean (as he was indeed the president).

The people who called for this very unnecessary inquest following the accident in the Paris tunnel should be made to pay for the full cost of the inquest. I don't suppose that it's being held because of spite for being refused British citizenship!

The inquest is pointless.

How can you expect a jury of 12 non-specialist members of the public with no relevant expertise to discover the truth of an event over 10 years ago, when hunrderds of police, scientists, forensic experts and two other full enquiries couldn't?

Whatever verdict they come up with will be as worthless as the paper it is written on. If the power of two of the biggest police forces in the world couldn't come up with a conclusive record of events why should these 12 joe bloggs of the jury be able to come up with something more accurate?

Waste of time and money?

What allegations? Or do you mean Al-fayed's fantasies about Prince Philip and MI5 arranging Diana's "murder"?

One would hope it's on the level.  Personally I suspect the elder Fayed more than the British royals; but I also think it's more likely to be just a terrible accident than any kind of conspiracy.  In any event, I wouldn't claim to *know* the truth, which is why I'd like to find out once and for all.

In any event, I'd like to see something honest and thorough, just to lay the questions to rest.  Unfortunately some parties will never accept anything except what they've already decided, so it will probably never be completely settled.
