Lady Loch to take charge of the Diamond Jubilee Handicap at Leicester
The Class 4 Diamond Jubilee Handicap will be hosted by Leicester over seven furlongs and nine yards on Tuesday, 5th June. Competing for the £6,301 prize money are seventeen three-year-old runners. Not every entry on the line-up has raced at Leicester and those who have given it a shot, have not come back successfully.
Lady Loch, Dutch Art’s three-year-old bay filly out of mare, Locharia, has a comparatively decent record at the race course as compared to the rest of the candidates.
She cracked into the new season on 2nd April in the Become An Annual Badge Holder Today Median Auction Maiden Stakes at Redcar over seven furlongs. The race was won by Sunley Pride who led the 5/4 favourite runner up, Lady Loch, by a slight neck’s difference.
Settling into the third slot was Midnight Tryst.
She took on her second seasonal start with Paul Hanagan again and this time it was at Leicester.
The three-year-old then scored second in the Follow Totepool On Facebook And Twitter Maiden Fillies’ Stakes on 13th April over seven furlongs. The race was won by Moonstone Magic while finishing the closest was Lady Loch.
The 2/1 favourite of the race, Ladyship, ended third on the track of eighteen.
The most recent trip of the Richard Fahey trained was over seven furlongs in the Highstreetvouchers.Com Maiden Fillies’ Stakes on 11th May at Chester. She could not bring out anything impressive as she finished fifth on the track of eight.
She has ridden with Paul Hanagan and today will be no different. She needs to make the most out of the second score edge in the race today. No other contestant has reached even this far.
Fabled City and Uprise have taken their chances at Leicester and might just be in a mood to get hold of the race today after having lost there.
There is hardly an entry who has been able to keep a decent ranking ever since the new season took off so there is actually really less that can possibly come between Lady Loch and her success today.
