The Tadgh Clifford Groundcare Handicap has attracted nine four-year and above contestants for the mile and 100 yard race on Wednesday, 29th August at Killarney. Not all the entries have raced at the race course before and those who did could not
win over the distance. Cairdiuil won a handicap here but during the previous season. The winner has been promised the prize money worth €5,175.
The five-year-old bay mare, Lady Lyrath, has been active six times during the season and has once raced at Killarney too. She kick started the season with a fourth position in the Ladies Day At Roscommon On July 9th Handicap on 11th

The Irish bay mare ended third while riding with jockey, Derek McCormack, as the race was won by, Big Bad Billy Bob.
She will race through the similar distance today at the same race course after losing the last two races that came her way.
Ending third under the same scenario before gives the 8 to 1 entry the edge today when she will break out of the sixth stall with jockey, Gary Carroll.
The S. M. Duffy trained will need to look out for the six-year-old bay gelding, Cairdiuil.
The Jim S. Bolger bred and the I. Madden trained won the Tadgh Kelly Carpentry Handicap on 23rd August, 2011 at Killarney over a mile and half a furlong. With Joseph O’Brien onboard, the duo won by the mark of half a length.
The two starts of the current season have not offered much but the very recent race saw Bachelor Duke’s gelding qualifying as the runner-up which indicates an improved form.
The 5 to 2 entry will race with jockey, Joseph O’ Brien, and has drawn the fourth stall to break from.
